Read Luke 10:25-37 again.
Use the following 3 questions to better understand the passage, and write down any questions that come to your mind.
1) Consider the characters in the story. What do you notice about each person?
2) Samaritans were considered by Jewish people to be inferior, or less than. Who is Jesus speaking to in this parable, and what role does mercy play in the story?
3) Using this parable as your guide, how would you answer the question “who is my neighbor”? What are the marks of a “good neighbor” and what discounts certain characters in the story from neighboring well?
